2025 Celebrating Forces Families Awards: A Tribute to Unsung Heroes

Celebrating Forces Families Awards Returns for a Fourth Year, Honouring the Extraordinary Resilience of Military Families

Celebrating Forces Families Awards 25 Launch October 2024

The prestigious Celebrating Forces Families (CFF) Awards is again set to recognise the unparalleled dedication and sacrifices of military families across the UK. This year, the awards will highlight service families' remarkable resilience, strength, and innovation in the face of unique and often overlooked challenges, fostering a deeper understanding and empathy for their experiences.

The CFF Awards has demonstrated remarkable growth in size, impact, and recognition over the past three years. Notably, it is now part of the Ministry of Defence Family Strategy, a clear recognition of its unique focus on honouring the invaluable contributions of military families.

As the Right Honourable Dr Andrew Murrison MP, Minister for Defence People and Families, aptly stated, "Life in the Armed Forces can be highly rewarding, but it can also make high demands of serving personnel, which can impact on family life. That's why recognition of the crucial support that service families play is so important in this equation." Let's continue to show our appreciation and support for these unsung heroes.

The evening will take place on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at a new venue - the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London from 5:30 PM to midnight. It is set to be an unforgettable evening celebrating the achievements of these incredible families. Join us for a night of celebration and witness the extraordinary achievements of military families from across the UK, recognised in categories such as:

  • Inspirational Family Member of the Year

  • Young People's Award

  • Overcoming Adversity Award

  • And more!

Prepare to be moved by the heartwarming stories of resilience and community impact showcased by these exceptional individuals and families. The 2025 awards ceremony will be hosted by the esteemed Sian Grzeszczyk Melbourne, a renowned TV reporter and video journalist for Forces News and BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Services). Joining her will be the captivating Richard Jones, a Britain's Got Talent winner, magician, and former British Army Lance Cpl. Richard's unique blend of military experience and magical talent promises to create unforgettable moments throughout the evening.

Global management, engineering and consultancy firm Mott MacDonald proudly serves as the award’s headline sponsor. Cathy Travers, Group Managing Director at Mott MacDonald said "As a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold award holder, we are steadfast in our commitment to the entire Armed Forces community, including family members; the Awards represent a fantastic opportunity to showcase our support and we are proud to be associated with an event that highlights the often undersung contributions of Forces families to military life and that demonstrates the resilience, courage and leadership that we so greatly value in our military community employees."

Last year's CFF Awards recognised the extraordinary achievements of individuals who positively impacted the lives of military families. Jamie Small, a young man who tragically lost his father to suicide, inspired others with his resilience, dedication and fundraising to help those struggling with loss. A determined rider facing a neurological condition, Stephanie Quintrell demonstrated incredible perseverance in overcoming adversity. Lauren Hyland, a supportive RAF spouse, used social media to connect with and uplift military families during deployment. Chelsea Tudhope, an NHS midwife, advocated tirelessly for the mental health of Armed Forces families. These individuals are just a handful of shining examples of the strength, compassion, and dedication within the military community. Now, it’s time to shine a spotlight on even more remarkable people who are making a difference in the lives of Armed Forces families.
