With kind support from the Army Central Fund
Army Central Fund support for Celebrating Forces Families Awards 2025
The Army Central Fund (ACF) is a grant-making charity working to improve the physical, mental and social well-being of serving British Army personnel and their immediate families through the award of financial grants to military units and organisations, as well as to national and local UK registered charities. In this current financial year the charity is dispersing around £3m in grants, delivering a better quality of life for Army communities, both Regular and Reserve, in the UK and overseas.
A key recipient of ACF funding is HQ Regional Command, who has been awarded over £750k this year to distribute to Army units through a series of command grants and through the Army Welfare Grants Committee and Regional Command Welfare Grants Committee. Through this route, ACF funding is made available to meet a huge range of sporting and welfare needs, from purchasing minibuses and sports equipment to refurbishing welfare facilities and supporting families.
This year the ACF is delighted that the recipients of many of their welfare grants are giving back to the community by generously donating prizes to the Celebrating Forces Families Awards. The prizes include paragliding tandem experiences, horse-riding days, sailing experiences, and much more, and the ACF is pleased to play a small part in helping to celebrate the hugely vital role families play in supporting our serving personnel and maintaining their operational effectiveness.
Caroline Crewe-Read, Director, Army Central Fund said: It will be a privilege to join all those celebrating the huge contribution made by Forces Families at the 2025 Awards. As an Army wife myself, I understand and empathise with the view that Forces families are in service too, and am looking forward to hearing about the stories and lived experiences of all those nominated for awards.
